New Voiceover Booth is Coming Along Nicely
I haven’t posted much about the design and construction of my studio, mostly because I don’t want to give you the impression I’m unable to work for you. I am available and ready for your project. With that in mind here’s an update:
The new voiceover booth is coming along nicely thanks to the generosity of some fantastic people that know much more about acoustic design than I do. The isolation walls and ceiling are done. Over 300 square feet of acoustic insulation is on it’s way. The new door should be delivered on Monday or Tuesday of next week. It’s a heavy beastie but it has to be to provide the kind of isolation I want (and feel that you as my client deserve).

Today I got the flooring installed. Boy it looks pretty. And it won’t mess with the high frequencies in the voice range the way carpet does.

I’ll have the door system installed next week. The acoustic insulation should arrive in about another week. As soon as it gets here I’ll be able to treat the walls and hang a “cloud” on the ceiling. Then the new booth will be ready to go!
I’m very excited about the upgrade to this booth and I hope you, as a client or potential client, are excited about the great enhancements it will provide for your projects with Hart Voice Overs as well.

Did you know Hart Voice Overs is available in mobile format for your iPhone, Blackberry or other smart phone?
Just go to Hart Voice Overs in your mobile browser and it should come up in the mobile version automatically.
If you prefer to read the site in it’s original format there is a link at the bottom that sends you back to the web version.
I’ve added a new plugin to the site so you should now be able to listen to my demos and other audio files from your smart phone.
Please let me know if you have any trouble with the mobile version. I check it often on my iPhone but never know what I might miss.
Peter O’Connell commented below and asked me to share how I did it. It’s insanely easy if you use WordPress: (more…)

About Brian Hart
Brian Hart is the owner of Hart Voice Overs. Brian has been recording voiceovers for broadcast and multimedia applications for over 17 years. In addition Brian offers post production and copywriting services.
Brian has worked at a variety of radio stations since 1992. Brian started out as a part time disc jockey on a radio station in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and quickly moved up to full time work as employers recognized his work ethic and natural talent. Over the course of his broadcasting career Brian has worked as program director, operations manager, and production director at a variety of radio stations and broadcast groups from Alabama to North Carolina.
In 2004 Brian started Brian Hart Productions with an emphasis on producing radio station imaging for small to medium sized markets. As Brian Hart Productions grew, Brian realized there was a growing need for voice over services in a wide range of areas outside of the broadcast industry. Brian has built Hart Voice Overs with that in mind, serving a wider base of clients and delivering a broader range of voiceover demands.
Now Brian works full time as a Voice Over actor and audio producer from his home in beautiful Foley, Alabama on the Gulf Coast. When asked why he chose to live in Foley Brian replied, “Because I am lucky enough that I can. I’m 15 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico and within shouting distance of some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Thanks to the internet I can work for clients worldwide while still enjoying southern hospitality and small town life.”
Brian Hart is also an amateur photographer and you’ll find many of his photos sprinkled throughout Hart Voice Overs. Brian, his wife Amy and their son J.D. like to go sailing and beach bumming in their spare time.
